Wilcox Communities is a family-owned builder and developer of living communities throughout Central Ohio. Their mission is “to be the premier provider of rental- home communities with residents-for-life by combining the value and quality of [their] homes and amenities with world-class customer service.”
In 2023, Wilcox purchased the former CF Bank building on N. High St. in Worthington to serve as their new headquarters. This move nearly tripled their space, giving them more room for their growing team. As a builder and developer, Wilcox served as their own GC for renovations, and brought in many of the subcontractors they work with on their communities to make the space uniquely theirs.
In their previous headquarters, Wilcox Communities did not have commercial audio-visual solutions. They knew they wanted to include A/V in their office but didn’t know where to start – so they tapped Integrated Building Systems to help.
“We told the Integrated Building Systems team we had no idea what we were doing,” Wilcox Purchasing Manager Luke Sheldon explained. “We came in to tour the Tech Studios and the team was great, they explained our options for what we wanted in a way that was easy to understand.”
For the new headquarters, the A/V goal was to create user-friendly spaces that were the same in each meeting room. Sheldon explained, “We wanted people to be able to walk upstairs and exactly replicate the experience from downstairs.”
Wilcox also wanted to incorporate eye-catching digital signage in their lobby.
Integrated Building Systems helped Wilcox Communities narrow down their options and ultimately installed:

Sound masking system in open office spaces for speech privacy
Two conference room unified communication systems, including integrated sound bars and table connections for a “bring your own device” setup
TV displays and digital signage in the game room/lounge
Owner’s office displays including click to share devices
